About Meridian Canine Rescue
501 E Scenery Ln, Ste 100, Meridian, ID 83642, US
Our mission is to save lives through storytelling and education.
The Meridian Canine Rescue is a small, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in the State of Idaho. Originally the Meridian Animal Shelter, the group became the "Meridian Valley Humane Society" after the city shut down its shelter and contracted with a different organization for animal control services. Due to increased community support, a larger number of dedicated internal team members, and a growing need for rescue placement for dogs in the Idaho area, the group moved to a bigger location in February 2017, where we became known as the Meridian Canine Rescue. This new space provided more square footage for kennels, quarantine space, and indoor/outdoor play areas.
From 2017 until now we have started developing and implementing programs to help further our mission. These include an Adoption Program, Behavior and Training Program, and a Foster Program. With these, we hope to improve the quality of care our dogs receive, and promote adoptions in our community.
