With the Mobile Food Pantry we can provide healthy, fresh foods to residents in need by taking food directly to the people. This type of distribution is done through a converted refrigerator beverage truck that is used to deliver produce, dairy products, meat, bakery and dry goods to sites all over the county. Volunteers are needed to help set up the food on tables, check in clients and distribute food items in addition to other tasks.
On the day of the event, please arrive 20 minutes before your volunteer time and please meet our driver in the parking lot. He/she will instruct you on what you need to know.

Description
Weld Food Bank is a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization which alleviates hunger and poverty by providing food and services to people in need. We are a private non-profit organization and are not a part of county government.
We work to educate the public about the nature of hunger and poverty. We recognize the need for emergency and supplemental food programs and of other non-profit organizations that meet the critical needs of low-income families. When we provide our services we strive to do so with compassion and respect for the dignity of the people seeking food assistance. Last year we provided over 11.9 million pounds of food to the hungry in Weld County.
Weld Food Bank is also a part of Feeding America which is the largest charitable hunger-relief organization in the country addressing the problem of domestic hunger by providing 4 billion meals to 46 million people each year. This accomplishment is due to their nationwide network of 200 food banks and 60,000 food pantries and meal programs. Feeding America serves all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.
