Love CWR's mission of Rescue, Rehabilitate and Release/Adopt but don't live nearby? Here's the position for you!
You can literally live anywhere and help orphaned and injured animals from the comfort of your own home. One of our volunteers lives in California! Communication with the public is done via text message so you don't even need to like to talk on the phone! All that’s required is a computer and an internet connection to help good Samaritans who have questions on wildlife in need. Our Hotline Volunteers are often the first points of contact with us. You will help coordinate referrals to other rescuers, provide nuisance wildlife advice and arrange for transport to CWR.
Must have a basic knowledge of Facebook, Messenger and Teams to communicate internally and with the public.
The hotline is open 7 days a week from 8 AM to 8 PM (east coast time).
Unfortunately at this time Carolina Waterfowl Rescue does not provide volunteer hours for Court Appointed Community Service.
