Want to make a difference?
Are you a skilled user of computers and other technology? Are you quick to pick up new skills and learn to use new-fangled devices without much effort? Do you fancy yourself somewhat of an expert when friends and family members are having a problem? Perhaps you used to work in technology or are a bit of a hobbyist? Whatever the case may be, your skills and experiences may be just what the doctor ordered!
Or perhaps you are not exactly a "guru," but after attending regular remote exercise classes and/or several trainings or educational lectures you feel well-versed enough in videoconferencing platforms like Zoom and/or webinar platforms like GoToWebinar to provide tech support to individuals attending trainings or other meetings.
Whichever way you contribute, your efforts may be the difference between someone successfully learning to use a new piece of technology or not and/or an organization successfully hosting an online training or not. Inquire further today!

Mission Statement
AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP in New York City was started in 1966 by the Community Service Society (CSS), an over 170-year-old nonprofit agency. CSS's mission is to identify problems which create a permanent poverty class in New York City, and to advocate the systemic changes required to eliminate such problems. CSS will focus on enabling, empowering and promoting opportunities for poor families and individuals to develop their full potential, to contribute to society, and to realize social, economic, and political opportunities.
Description
AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP in New York City matches adults 55 and older with meaningful volunteer opportunities at New York City nonprofits. With more than 2,300 volunteers, our program is one of the largest senior volunteer programs in the nation. There are over 600 of us which operate nationally and many that do so internationally. We match volunteers on the basis of interests and abilities, community needs, geographic convenience, and experience.
