Are you looking for an exciting and edifying volunteer opportunity? At Ruby A. Neeson Diabetes Awareness Foundation, you can make a big impact. We value volunteerism and teamwork.
We are excited to partner with Kaiser Permanente and host a Healthy Aging Expo on World Heart Day, Wednesday September 29 at Greenbriar Mall from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM.
We'd love for you to consider joining us!
The outdoor event will encompass health screenings and community resources. Volunteers are needed for set-up, exhibitor registration/sign-in, and handing out resource bags.
We ask that volunteers be:
- compassionate, honest & dependable.
- be kind and understanding of older adults and people with disabilities.
- have a current state or federal photo ID.
Created by the World Heart Federation, World Heart Day is a global campaign, uniting people from all backgrounds in the fight against the cardiovascular disease burden. This day of awareness inspires and drives international action by encouraging heart-healthy lifestyles across the world. The Healthy Aging Expo is a unique showcase to unify the growing aging population in southwest Atlanta.

The mission of Ruby A. Neeson Diabetes Awareness Foundation, Inc. is to aid families affected by diabetes. We are a community-based charitable health organization dedicated to raising public awareness through advocacy and education.
Description
We are committed to creating opportunities for those affected by diabetes; to live healthier and longer lives, preventing the life-threatening consequences of the complications associated with diabetes.
The center of Ruby A. Neeson Diabetes Awareness Foundation, Inc. activity is recommending and promoting diabetes management and outreach services for groups who are disproportionately affected by diabetes.
