Momentum Collective Inc. is partnering with the Alexandria Redevelopment and Housing Authority to provide an Afterschool arts program to elementary and middle school youth who live in subsidized housing in Alexandria, VA. The theater arts instructor will teach beginner level youth the fundamentals of acting and prepare them to perform monologues and skits for a performing arts showcase later in the school year. Volunteers will also receive support on how to incorporate academic elements into the acting classes. This opportunity is on Thursdays from 5:30pm to 7:00pm and will require direct and in-person interaction with youth. As a result, we require that all volunteers be fully vaccinated, and be able to provide proof of vaccination.

Group size will not exceed 10 participants. Volunteers must be comfortable working with youth from various socio-economic backgrounds.
