Hello, we are an entirely volunteer-run activism literacy nonprofit organization. We are looking to put together an activism journal where activists can submit editorial style letters to the activist community at-large. The purposes of these letters are to begin dialogues on issues facing these activists' communities, and will allow activists to respond to each other and learn from others' conversation regarding how to address certain issues. We are still developing the idea, so it may change as we begin putting it together.

We are looking to assemble a motivated team who would be interested in this opportunity. We imagine we will also have official copy in it, like instructabels for activism-themed projects, such as how to write letters to representatives, etc. We may also need help with graphics, etc. If you have any ideas we are open to hearing them. These positions are not paid - they are strictly volunteer. The Tangency Foundation has no paid employees. This journal would coincide with our podcast and other free resources.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out! You can respond to this posting, or message me at 3052090463!

About TANGENCY

Location:

2543 LINCOLN AVE, MIAMI, FL 33133, US

Mission Statement

The Tangency Foundation is a nonprofit environmental education which focuses on education and conservation. Our goal is to provide a platform for conservation which provides social, economic, and pluralistic value for participants through activism activities. We aim to engage the public in novel ways to educate them about the impacts of climate change, indigenous advocacy issues, and STEM education.

Description

We started out as an impromptu clean-up crew for plastics on Miami beaches, and slowly grew to include educational presentations in our assortment of activities. We are currently developing an open-access STEM education curriculum for use in low-income school districts. We offer assistance in setting up home-gardens and aquariums alongside educational resources on the STEM principles involved in maintaining them.
