Part of our work includes supporting the right livelihood through a coworking space. This is a live in position which also includes access to all our classes along with a modest stipend.

About the role:
This registrar and IT coordinator is responsible for running the technical aspects of all wisdom courses taught at Dharma College and acts as point person for student and faculty support. This role is suitable for anyone that wishes to deepen their personal practice while developing professional skills such as video-editing, learning management systems, education technology, and in charge of a robust community online portal.

This position is available to begin immediately. The person would get free room and board along with a stipend offering. We have a beautiful center in the heart of an urban downtown Berkeley community (very close to the UC Berkeley campus and BART station). Ideal for someone who has just recently graduated and would like to spend 1-2 years developing technical skills.

We would require this person to get a COVID test regularly.

Duties include:

• Maintaining learning management systems.
• Providing zoom support for all instructors and students.
• Running social media accounts.
• Moderating our Dharma College’s online community portal.
• Assisting with the technical development of online wisdom courses.
• Creating audio and video recordings of courses.
• Daily community chores including watering outdoor plants.
• Assist with In-person events and urban retreats.
• Archiving recorded courses each term to our filing system

• Basic video editing skills (or willing to learn)
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Technology Oriented knows about word-press, learning dash, buddy boss
• Knows how to handle zoom classes
• Interested in developing a deeper understanding of Buddhist teachings
