We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers of all biking capabilities to lead our easy-to-follow curriculum for the spring season for riders. All abilities are welcome! The team meets once a week on Wednesdays from 1:30-2:45pm. All coaches will get trained and be supported throughout their volunteer experience.
Girls in Gear is an eight-week program for any rider who identifies as a girl ages 9-12 and wants to build confidence on and off their bikes. Weekly meetings focus on a mix of emotional development, conversations, bike maintenance, and riding skills. The goal of the program is to introduce the joy of safe cycling to young riders while creating a supportive environment fostering personal growth.
At Girls in Gear, we believe in inclusive, mentorship-based bike programming that empowers participants by teaching life skills through bike skills. Bikes are an extraordinary tool for change in ourselves and our communities as a conduit for lessons on strength, resilience, kindness, and empathy. Learn more at: girlsingear.org.

Mission Statement
The Dream Project is dedicated to empowering young adults to become leaders within their communities through service and cycling.
Description
The Dream Project is a nonprofit adventure-based fundraising organization for young adults on their way to becoming future philanthropists and community leaders. Those between 18-25 can commit to a year a fundraising and hands-on volunteer work before ultimately biking across the country in the name of a local charity doing work in their neighborhood.
Our riders envision, plan, execute, and embark on service-oriented cycling trips stretching thousands of miles across the country. They fundraise, volunteer, and raise awareness for a local charity of their choosing over the course of an academic year. Each participant raises between $2,000-$4,000 (amount varies based on the length of their trip), volunteers one hundred hours with their charitable partner, and ultimately takes off on a trip ranging from two weeks (700 miles) to two months (3,500 miles). Service days throughout the trip provide participants the opportunity to volunteer with local charities serving the areas they’re biking through along their route.
