Love our mission but do not enjoy working outdoors? Our inside support team helps us with laundry and dishes, cooking eggs, small organization projects and sweeping the common areas. You'll also help with the feeding and cage cleaning of our resident animals that live in our intake area as well as some small animals that are waiting adoption and have included parakeets, lovebirds and even chameleons.

Volunteers must be 16 and older. High School Students requiring community service are encouraged to apply.

Unfortunately at this time Carolina Waterfowl Rescue does not provide volunteer hours for Court Appointed Community Service.

7 Days a week. Morning- 8 am to 12 pm. Evening- 4 pm to 6 pm.

Currently filling openings on Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday AM, and Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday PM


2 Shifts

  • 08:00 AM to 12:00 PM
    Open Shifts: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
  • 04:00 PM to 06:00 PM
    Open Shifts: Sunday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday

Mission Statement

Carolina Waterfowl Rescue (CWR) is non profit 501c3 wildlife rescue organization located in Charlotte, NC. CWR is run by federally licensed wildlife rehabilitators who provide sanctuary, rescue, and rehabilitation for wildlife, farmed, and exotic animals.

Description

Founded over 20 years ago, CWR is not only federally licensed to care for wildlife, but also accepts domestic animals that may otherwise not have sanctuary or medical care. Over the years we've helped countless chickens, ducks and geese as well as a variety of reptiles, and farm animals including an emu! Annually we admit over 7000 patients to our care.
