Are you a Veteran? Are you interested in helping other Veterans? Elara Caring Hospice is the leading hospice care provider in the area. We are looking for compassionate Veteran Volunteers willing to donate their time and provide service support to local Veteran Hospice patients and their families. We are partners with the We Honor Veterans organization and strive to provide excellent care to our Veteran patients. We also honor our Veterans for their unselfish time and service with periodic pinning ceremonies. As a Hospice Veteran Volunteer you may provide companionship, read to the patient, write letters for a patient or reminisce about time served for our country. There is no physical care involved. Our hours are flexible. Typically we ask our volunteers to visit with their assigned patient 1-2 hours per week. Make a real difference in the life of a Veteran!
