The Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board (CSB) is seeking a volunteer to serve as Program Assistant to assist with Entry and Assessment tasks. The Entry and Assessment team is the first contact for individuals in the community who are seeking the services that are offered at the CSB.
Some of the duties include: greeting patients in the waiting room, facilitating the sign-in and check-out process, working alongside peer support specialists for follow-up, entering data into system, etc. Fluency in Spanish is a plus but not required.
This is a great opportunity not only for those in the healthcare field, but anyone wiling to help vulnerable populations. Whether you have experience working in the healthcare industry, or are just keen to volunteer, we'd love to hear from you.
Skills and Qualifications
- Basic familiarity with computers and Microsoft Office.
- Must pass all background checks and complete all trainings.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Highly effective communicator with the ability to engage multiple stakeholders
- Excellent customer service skills and superb organizational skills
- Exhibits a high degree of confidentiality
- Availability between Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM
- Able to commit to 10-15 hours per week for three months.

Description
When you join our volunteer team, you will receive training, supervision, diverse educational experiences, and opportunities for personal growth. Various positions are available throughout Fairfax County and the cities of Fairfax and Falls Church. The times and days available are flexible and include some evening and weekend opportunities, as well as regular weekday hours. By providing direct service, administrative support, or participating in special projects, volunteers are valuable members of our team.
