The Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board (CSB) is currently seeking nurses (retired, active or students) to support CSB staff on the Entry and Assessment team.
We are looking to fill 2-3 clinical volunteer roles to assist our lead clinicians:
- Assisting with primary care screenings for "Front Door" clients
- Providing educational instruction to our guests on common healthcare issues
- Bilingual preferred, though not required
- Available 2-3 days per week for a morning (9am-1pm) or afternoon (1pm-5pm) shift
Skills and Qualifications
- Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and motivated
- Flexibility, works well with or without direction
- Accountability and reliability to show up on time to assigned areas
- Effectively communicate needs of patient to staff
- Adhere to Department of Nursing and agency standards and guidelines
- Always ensure patient’s privacy
- Demonstrate age, gender, and culturally appropriate sensitivity to patient/family’s needs and expectations

Description
When you join our volunteer team, you will receive training, supervision, diverse educational experiences, and opportunities for personal growth. Various positions are available throughout Fairfax County and the cities of Fairfax and Falls Church. The times and days available are flexible and include some evening and weekend opportunities, as well as regular weekday hours. By providing direct service, administrative support, or participating in special projects, volunteers are valuable members of our team.
