During the school year, the NEST-mobile travels into the community’s low income areas with its After School Homework and Tutoring Program. The program delivers accessible homework help, target-tutoring, technology (Internet access, computers, printers), school supplies, nutritious snacks (which include fresh fruit daily) and organized outdoor sports activities when the weather permits.
Adults as well as high-school students are needed for shifts of 1.5 hours each for homework help and tutoring. You may work multiple shifts if you are able. We welcome volunteers who can commit to a regular time each week! Student volunteers can earn service hours for their time. If your schedule doesn’t allow for a weekly commitment, please sign up any day you can help.
**All volunteers must have an application and background check (if over 18) on file with NEST.**
Beginning Sept. 13 - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday at Zebulon Park in Batavia, OH
