September 19-Volunteers Needed for Rec Program for Youth with Disabilities

KEEN Chicago will continue outdoor socially distanced programming fall. Our sessions are designed in a way to reunite our Athletes safely while also helping them to cope with the mental health implications of the pandemic.

The first hour of our programming is dedicated to yoga, music, and art while the second hour focuses on more traditional ball sports. Volunteers are needed on-site to assist with check-in, sanitizing supplies, and providing assistance and support to our Athletes who may need extra help in order to participate in the activities.

KEEN serves individuals with such diverse disabilities as autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, and various developmental and intellectual disabilities. KEEN's mission is to foster the self-esteem, confidence, skills and talents of our athletes through non-competitive activities, allowing young people facing even the most significant challenges to meet their individual goals. WE CAN'T DO THIS WITHOUT YOU!

Masks are required at all session and volunteers are asked to be fully vaccinated prior to joining us in-person. We have strict capacity limits. All volunteers must go to our website and fill out the application prior to participation at https://www.keenchicago.org/volunteer-registration.
