New assistant coaches needed in Raleigh for the Miracle League of the Triangle!
Below are the Miracle League coach responsibilities. All it takes is 90 minutes of your time once per week during our 8-week season, which runs 9/11-10/30. Baseball experience is not required, but a caring, compassionate spirit is! Contact Volunteer Coordinator Andy Huffman at AHuffman@MLTriangle.com or text/call (919) 302-5279 for sign up details.
Coach Responsibilities - Ages 16 and up
- Attend a minimum of six (6) of your team’s games during the season.
- Ensure the safety of all players.
- Teach players how to play baseball to the best of their abilities.
- Model and encourage sportsmanship, good morale, and enthusiasm to all participants; promote positive behavior.
- Encourage buddy/volunteer interaction with the players.
- Keep games moving in a timely manner.
- Arrive 20 minutes before game time.
- Find your own Sub and notify Head Coach if unable to attend a game.
- Attend a pre-season Coaches Meeting.
- Pass a background check (for coaches 19 years and older).

Description
The Miracle League of the Triangle is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization operating during the spring and fall seasons as a baseball league for individuals with special needs. The program provides a safe, positive environment for people with disabilities to participate in a team sport, many for the first time in their lives.
Anyone who has seen a game in action knows that the Miracle League of the Triangle is much more than an ordinary baseball league. It’s an experience of sheer joy, made possible by a community of players, parents, and volunteers.
