There have already been several named storms this year and experts report we could see ten or more hurricanes in the next several months. It’s critical to have a trained, ready volunteer workforce to make sure we can provide disaster relief at a moment’s notice. Please train now to be a Red Cross volunteer and help if the need arises. Become a disaster volunteer.
Volunteers are needed to train now and be ready to respond:
Disaster Health Services
Health professionals are needed in shelters to provide hands on care, health education, health assessments and additional health related support.
Disaster Health Services Supervisor
Health professionals with supervisory experience needed to lead a team of Disaster Health Services responders to provide health services care to shelter clients.
Shelter Service Associate
In person shelter support to assist with reception, registration, feeding, dormitory, information collection and other vital tasks to help those we serve
Shelter Supervisor
Individuals with supervisory experience needed to lead a team of assigned workers by providing guide and support the day-to-day activities within a shelter.
Disaster Casework
Support recovery by connecting directly with clients to provide advocacy, referrals and financial assistance though the Red Cross case management system.
Thank you for sharing your time and passion for helping your community by volunteering with the American Red Cross.
