Groceries are picked up by residents in the Community Room who live in this complex at 801 N. Kings Road 90069. This is twice a month on the 1 st & 3 rd Friday. Shift times are 8:30-11:30am with residents picking up the food between 9:00-11:00am. From 9:00am -11:00am volunteers will be in the lobby for grocery pickup or may also be delivering groceries to residents’ apartments who are unable to come to the lobby and/or going to a couple nearby residences for clients who are homebound. We would providing carts/dollies, as the boxes/groceries will be just under 20 lbs, to assist with delivering and preparing the tables for grocery pickup. Street parking is available but please keep an eye out for street cleaning days and times. This is an ongoing opportunity where we need a volunteer to commit to both shifts monthly

Description
We offer a wide range of flexible and meaningful volunteer opportunities across Los Angeles. We need volunteers to help in a variety of ways, including offering social support to isolated older adults, transportation assistance for older adults and adults with disabilities, and help at our meal programs, senior centers, domestic violence shelters, food pantries and more! Our opportunities are meaningful, fun and greatly appreciated. Join our work in improving the lives of countless men, women and children of all religions, ethnicities, and ages...we need you!
