ORGANIZATION: GIFTING SURVIVORS OF SUBSTANCE ABUSE

What is a social media manager? The Social Media Manager’s job focuses on increasing brand awareness through the effective use of social media outlets.

RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Use social media marketing tools to create and maintain the our mission and vision
  • Work with marketing professionals to develop social media marketing campaigns
  • Interacting with customers and other stakeholders via the company’s social media accounts
  • Analyzing the company’s digital marketing plan and social media strategy and identifying strategic weaknesses and making recommendations for improvements
  • Researching social media trends and informing the executive director of changes that are relevant to the our non profits marketing activities
  • Learning each platforms algorithm ( Platforms we currently use are Facebook, Pinterest, and Instagram)


SKILLS:
  • The ability to use social media to maintain or build a brand is necessary to be a Social Media Manager.
  • Great verbal and written communication skills are essential
  • Identify social media events such as an interesting hashtag or a sensitive topic and share appropriate content that aligns with the our social media strategy.
  • Craft engaging content
  • Computer skills, skills in using social media platforms and skills in using tools that analyze social media platforms are requirements for this position
  • The skill of organizing tasks to meet deadlines

Our mission is to facilitate healing and provide compassionate care for families who have lost loved one to or individuals recovering from substance addiction by sending them care packages.

Description

Grief is a normal and natural response to loss. Though people often expect to grieve the death of a family member or friend, many other significant losses can also trigger grief. Gifting Survivors of Substance Abuse will welcome individuals and groups through its charitable works, and partner with local rehab facilities and organizations to offer support to all in need. Gifting Survivors of Substance Abuse’s major service is providing resources and support to recovering addicts as well as people who have lost a loved one to substance abuse.
