ORGANIZATION: Union Station Homeless Services

The Community Allies Program is looking for three volunteers to work with three monolingual Spanish-speakers who are apart of our Holly Street Housing Program. The purpose of the Community Allies Program is to support our neighbors as they transition into housing. By fostering one-on-one relationships and social networks, we hope to combat isolation to support wellness and maintain housing stability.

Interested in becoming one of our Community Allies? Here are the requirements:

  • Be at least 25 years old;
  • Complete a LiveScan State and Federal background check;
  • Complete program orientation and training (and supplemental trainings);
  • Commit to the program for 12 months;
  • Meet with your participant at least twice a month;
  • Have reliable personal transportation or access to public transportation;
  • Have computer and internet access to log volunteer hours and complete Session notes; and
  • Have not received services or participated in any USHS program in the past year.
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required

Description

We need volunteers to help support our kitchen staff with cooking, serving, and cleaning. Volunteers are integral to providing much needed donation items to our clients.
