ORGANIZATION: GIFTING SURVIVORS OF SUBSTANCE ABUSE

What Does a Grant Coordinator Do? A grant coordinator is responsible for locating and applying for grants on behalf of a company or organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as a liaison between the organization and the funders
  • Understand the need of the organization and search for appropriate funders in the market or related sources
  • Gathers and presents accurate information to potential funders
  • Ensure that the proposals are in accordance with a funder's requirement
  • Oversee the final budget chart of the organization to gain information and report to the funders
  • Monitors paperwork and other related documents connected with grant-funded programs
  • Ensure that the funds are utilized in a proper way as planned


Essential Skills and Abilities
  • In-depth understanding of the organization
  • Organized and attention to details
  • Good analytical and presentation skills
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Effective relation building capability in order to maintain good relation with all departments and its staff, management, associates and funders
  • Proficient in identifying opportunities and deliver results accordingly
  • Skilled at writing, planning and strategizing
  • Proficient with computer skills

Our mission is to facilitate healing and provide compassionate care for families who have lost loved one to or individuals recovering from substance addiction by sending them care packages.

Description

Grief is a normal and natural response to loss. Though people often expect to grieve the death of a family member or friend, many other significant losses can also trigger grief. Gifting Survivors of Substance Abuse will welcome individuals and groups through its charitable works, and partner with local rehab facilities and organizations to offer support to all in need. Gifting Survivors of Substance Abuse’s major service is providing resources and support to recovering addicts as well as people who have lost a loved one to substance abuse.
