Can you be a comfort to people who need it?
Altruist Hospice is looking for compassionate, caring and patient volunteers to help support the loved ones of our hospice patients. Bereavement/Caregiver Support Volunteers may make weekly to bi-weekly visits and phone calls to the caregivers who are looking after someone in hospice. This role will also help support the family members of someone who has passed on. This is a special role that requires a great deal of open-heartedness and kindness.
If you are compassionate, warm hearted and dedicated to service to others, this is the role for you!

Volunteers are an integral part of the hospice team, filling roles that range from companionship to community outreach! Hospice volunteers are compassionate, kind-hearted individuals with a special affinity for those at the end of life. They often describe their work as gratifying, intellectually stimulating, and emotionally meaningful.
