Access Youth Academy is a nonprofit after school program in San Diego, CA that provides elementary, middle and high school students academic support as well as training in the sport of squash. We are currently recruiting experienced tutors in the subject areas of: Spanish, Math and Science. In addition, we are requesting tutors to commit to tutoring our students virtually at least 3 times a month during our program operation days. Prospective tutors may choose the days that they are available to tutor students but it must be a day between Monday and Thursday from 3:30-6pm.

    Ideally, we would have 1 tutor present for each subject: math, science and spanish.

Description

Access Youth Academy provides low income youth with a life changing opportunity. Our program teaches disadvantaged students to become proactive, contributing members of society through a holistic approach to youth development that includes individualized tutoring, squash coaching, and team building community service projects.

Through improved academics, increased community service, and program expansion, AYA will continue to provide marginalized youth populations in San Diego with the resources necessary to become productive citizens.
