Job Title: (Remote) Art/Cartoon Instructor for Kids (Volunteer Position)

We are looking for a committed (Remote) Art Teacher to teach a small group of young students (ages 10-13 ). You can work anywhere as the class will be 100% online.

Overview

You will be responsible for preparing and implementing complete cartooning skills which include but not limited;

  • Character design
  • Storytelling
  • Hands-on pencil drawing.
  • At the end of the 4-6 sessions, we have student presentations, so each course should be built towards the final presentation.

Responsibilities

  • Present lesson plans ahead of the session so students can expect what they can learn by the end of the session
  • Create syllabus for 4-6 weeks of Cartoon Fundamentals
  • Provide constructive feedback to students on the weekly assignments, which are to be posted on Google Classroom
  • Motivate and inspire students to develop creativity

Skills

  • Clear communication on Zoom (sound & Video)
  • Remote Teaching Experience with children (preferred)
  • Time commitment and strong moral values
  • Compassion with young children

Requirements

  • Portfolio, Work Samples (Must)
  • Education: Associate (Preferred)
  • Feeling comfortable for the video recording ( all sessions are recorded and we upload this to our youtube channel to benefit more students)

Description

At Orange Note, we like learning by doing and designed the course to be project-based. All our programs, Live and Self-Paced are FREE and open to all students. Currently we have Free Online Live Courses along with Self Paced Courses. We recently wrapped up our Free STEM camp successfully and prepping for the Fall session. All our courses are currently REMOTE and FREE for ALL students. We design programs that young students can develop the skills that they cannot learn elsewhere but essential for the academic and emotional well being. We are hoping to add Art/Design, Financial Literacy and Communication Classes which we believe immensely beneficial for young students but hardly found in the public schools.
