Volunteer Art, Design Instructor for Kids (Remote)

Background & Description:

There are not many public schools that provide Arts classes here in California. We believe every child are born to be creative and they lose it when growing up. We think Art and Design is a fundamental skill that can benefit all students. With the Thanksgiving and Christmas coming up, we like to create Free Fun Art Design Class accessible for any students.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Creating teaching material for the Live Remote Session to teach kids the fundamental design skills with everyday supplies like a pen, pencil, and paper
  • Create a trailer style short video clip with duration of 5 min to explain what supplies are needed, skills they will learn and the what the project will look like
  • Attend the brief meeting with the project manager to discuss and plan the online class

Time Commitment:
This is a volunteer position that requires 2- 3 hours time commitment for at least 2 weeks and preferably 4 weeks and more.

Education:

  • Minimum High school Diploma or Equivalent
  • Art, Craft, or Design Portfolio Preferred
  • Proficiency using Adobe Suites: Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier is preferred, though not required

Skills

  • Art, Craft project portfolio: we love recycled art that children can easily find anywhere
  • Experience in creating cartoons, webtoons, logo design is preferred though not required.
  • Loving fun and encouraging creativity
  • People skill compassion

At Orange Note, we like learning by doing and designed the course to be project-based. All our programs, Live and Self-Paced are FREE and open to all students. Currently we have Free Online Live Courses along with Self Paced Courses. We recently wrapped up our Free STEM camp successfully and prepping for the Fall session. All our courses are currently REMOTE and FREE for ALL students. We design programs that young students can develop the skills that they cannot learn elsewhere but essential for the academic and emotional well being. We are hoping to add Art/Design, Financial Literacy and Communication Classes which we believe immensely beneficial for young students but hardly found in the public schools.
