ORGANIZATION: Neighborly Care Network

Neighborly is a non-profit that has served seniors in Pinellas County, FL for 55 years, and we are now accepting registered* pet therapist and handler volunteers for in-person visits at our three adult day care centers! Adult day care clients are older adults, many of whom have memory challenges and other cognitive conditions.

*Neighborly accepts therapists and their handlers currently registered with one of the following agencies: Alliance of Therapy Dogs, Project Pup, or Pet Partners.

Our three adult day cares are located in South St. Petersburg, Largo, and Palm Harbor, FL. Orientations are held at our administrative offices in Clearwater.

  • Must be at least 18
  • Orientation or Training
  • Generally, volunteers serve up to two hours per week and can serve weekly or once a month.
  • Must be currently registered with one of three agencies: Alliance of Therapy Dogs, Pet Partners, or Project Pup.
