Massage Therapy for Hospice Patients
11 people are interested
Certified Massage Therapists have an incredible opportunity to serve hospice patients and/or those caring for hospice patients by volunteering their services with TRU Community Care. Massage has been proven to increase comfort by decreasing anxiety and stress and promoting relaxation which often causes better sleep. We desire to help patients have a comfortable and dignified end of life experience. Massage therapy would help immensely with this goal.
We frequently have patients ask for massage therapy, not just anyone is able to provide that, we need trained professionals. A volunteer masseuse with TRU knows they are making a real difference in the lives of our hospice patients. As a volunteer you choose which patient assignments you accept. We see patients all over the Boulder and Denver Metro area. You may choose a one time assignment or an ongoing assignment. We want this volunteer opportunity to work for you and the patient.
Call us TODAY at 303-604-5226 or email Volunteer@trucare.org to learn more about this volunteer opportunity.

About TRU Community Care
2594 Trailridge Drive East, Lafayette, CO 80026, US
We work to ensure that everyone in our community can live with advanced illness as comfortably, confidently, and fully as possible.
We were founded as Boulder County Hospice in 1976 to provide expert medical, emotional and spiritual care to terminally ill people and their families.
As Colorado's first hospice, we have long set the standard for care of those with advanced illness in our region. And we continue to lead the way today, with innovative programs that honor the choices, preserve the dignity and address the individual needs of the patients and families we are privileged to serve.
As a nonprofit, community effort, we provide our hospice care for everyone who needs us, regardless of ability to pay. We offer free grief support to anyone who has suffered a loss, whether or not their loved one was our patient. And we educate people throughout our area on all matters related to end-of-life challenges.
