FRIENDS OF RESTON FALL 5K | Sunday, Oct. 15 th | Brown’s Chapel Park | Volunteer Hours: 7:15 - 10 am
Race Location: Browns Chapel Park | 1686 Browns Chapel Road, Reston, VA 20194
Join us for the Friends of Reston Fall 5K Fundraiser. Friends of Reston is a 501c3 organization that performs scientific, educational and charitable projects in support of Reston Association. Some of our community projects include park improvements, camp and tennis scholarships, environmental education and natural areas restoration. All proceeds from this event support the Friends of Reston’s youth scholarships and enrichment fund.
Volunteers will receive an event t-shirt and breakfast.

Volunteers are needed for:
- Course Marshals volunteers are responsible for ensuring runners and walkers are safe and are heading in the right direction during their time on the course. Depending on where you’re stationed you might have to hold cars coming in and out of neighborhood. Traffic vest provided | Time Commitment: 7:30 - 9 am Must attend a volunteer orientation on Sat. Oct. 14 th from 11am - Noon at the Lake House

Reston Association is the second largest homeowner's association in the country. Because of our size, we often serve our members just as towns or cities in other locations. We maintain and preserve Reston's natural environment; maintain a wide variety of recreational facilities; and host fun and educational programs open to all.

REQUIREMENTS
- Must be at least 13
- Orientation or Training
- 2-3 hours 7 - 10am. Race marshals must attend a volunteer orientation on Sat. Oct. 14th. Volunteers will receive instructions, assigned to a station and a volunteer t-shirt to be worn the day of the race.
- Must be 15 or older to volunteer, under 15 can volunteer with a responsible adult.
