Events Manager - Hope Floats for Veterans, Inc. 501 C 3
We are searching for a talented and motivated event manager to organize outstanding and unforgettable workshops and community events.
Description
In conjunction with the Board's Chairman, the Events Manager will help Hope Floats develop a strategy of implementing workshops, seminars, and community events. Duties would include securing venues (when offsite), planning and managing our events calendar, negotiating quotes and agreements with vendors, assisting with event marketing, monitoring timeframes and budgets, networking, and delivering on event objectives. Your creativity, organizational skills, and vision will help our organization in amplifying brand visibility, enhancing client and public relations. At the same time, improve our organization's growth through events that effectively communicate our mission and brand personality.
Event Manager Responsibilities
- Brainstorming and implementing event plans and concepts.
- Handling budgeting and invoicing.
- Liaising and negotiating with vendors.
- Negotiating sponsorship deals.
- Handling logistics.
- Updating senior management.
- Managing branding and communication.
- Developing event feedback surveys.
- Obtaining permits.
- Handling post-event reports.
Event Manager Requirements
- Experience in training and development; workshops; continuing education
- Communication and marketing skills.
- Project management experience.
- Good leadership skills.
- Highly Organized.
- Multitasker.
- Good at time management.
- Proficiency in various event software.
- Expert interpersonal skills.
- Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to VHF's mission.
Your Availability
- Ideally located when events run but could run the program remotely/hybrid
- 20-25 hours monthly.

"We Feed and House Our Hungry, Homeless Heroes!" EIN: 86-1713184. We have a donated a 62-acre parcel with a 10 acre lake, donated heavy equipment and an operating sawmill making value added products. We are putting in an organic permaculture food forest, community gardens and building floating homes (houseboats) for the benefit of homeless Veterans. Partner with us in "Feeding, Housing and Teaching Job Skills to Homeless Veterans."
