Thomas the train returns this September for Trains, Games & Miles of Smiles! The Colorado Railroad Museum hosts our big blue tank engine every year to help raise funds for our 401c3 non-profit organization and we are looking for helpers. To make this event fun and safe, we have moved every aspect to the great outdoors on our 15-acre property. We have added additional safety measures, sanitizing stations, and handwash stations throughout the grounds. Masks are still required onboard the train with or without vaccination.
Volunteers help with Set-up & Tear Down as well as our Welcome & Entrance, Boarding, Activities & Entertainment, and Merchandise Tent & Exit. We have two shifts: Morning 7:30am - 12:30pm and Afternoon 12:15pm - 5:15pm. Shifts are 5 hours long and come with "Lunch on Us" from one of our local food vendors on site. Volunteers are also eligible for FREE Day Out With Thomas tickets on Saturdays September 11th, 18th, and 25th at 4:45pm on our Promo Train.
To sign up, simply fill out our DOWT Volunteer Application here and select the shifts you'd like to work. https://www.volgistics.com/ex/portal.dll/ap?AP=760667277
