Tapestry Hospice is offering the opportunity for kind, compassionate and willing individuals to interact with and bring companionship and fellowship to those affected by the restrictions in place due to Covid-19. Would you be wiling to read, sing and/or visit with individuals who are limited to travel outside of their community due to health risks via digital visits? If so, please contact Tapestry Hospice volunteer coordinator, Liz Green. We welcome you with open arms and, in turn, you will receive the blessing and satisfaction of providing social engagement for those who need it so much!

About Tapestry Hospice

105 Laurel Creek Rd SE, Calhoun, GA 30701, US

Mission Statement

To assist any person with a terminal illness with the ability to live with little or no pain or suffering and to accept death without fear. To assist families and friends through their loved one’s dying and death, providing compassionate bereavement care for all concerned. To meet the special physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the terminally ill and their families, with compassion, comfort, dignity and quality palliative (comfort) and support care. To meet the needs of the communities in which we live in education, awareness and support systems of the terminally ill citizens within them.

Tapestry Hospice is a local for-profit organization developed and owned by physicians, nurses and specialty community leaders. We live here, we work here and we have our own family as patients. We care about our community and we care deeply about our patients and their families. We began our company with the idea that we know our community better than the big corporate hospice companies. We have long been concerned about the predominance of large impersonal providers in our community. So, we determined to make a difference at our local level with our own friends and neighbors.

We believe quality specialized services are best provided by employees that are trained to be patient and family centered. "Making life easier, when it matters most" are more than just words on paper for us. We do it every day. Foundation of care begins with focus on the home, where familiar surroundings and loving support enhance the quality of life, when time is precious.
