Nearly 3,000 children in the U.S. lose a parent to intimate partner homicide. The ARIZONA CHILD & ADOLESCENT SURVIVOR INITIATIVE (ACASI) is a first-of-its kind initiative that provides support to this underserved group of children.
ACASI is seeking volunteer mentors to serve as reliable and positive role models, who can help them with the healing process.
Research shows that a stable relationship with a caring, consistent adult serves as a protective factor, helps build resiliency and predicts better outcomes for at-risk children and children who have experienced domestic violence.
