Adult Volunteers needed, Saturdays.

Select a 2-4 hour block of time, between 10am-3pm (max 1 volunteer)

Description: Clean in and around shelter or kitchen area and other activity as needed.

Face masks required. Gloves and hair nets required in kitchen area. Please do not participate when you are unwell. Reschedule later.

The Emmanuel House provides breakfast (instead of lunch) and dinner, 6 days a week. Providing meals (breakfast and dinner) will help many homeless and low income individuals more now than ever, due to the rising food costs and after effects of COVID on many individuals.

Appropriate Attire: Mandatory closed toe shoes: no sandals or flipflops or open toe shoes allowed. Hair nets and plastic gloves provided and must be used. Short or long sleeve shirts, no spaghetti straps, sleeveless, tank top type shirts or short shorts/dresses/skirts; must be appropriate length, longer not shorter.

Required:
-Register as volunteer on-line (e-waivers need to be completed)
-Must be 18 or older
-Attend Volunteer Orientation (25-30 minutes), at least 3 days before first day volunteering.
-Clearance on Megan's Law Registry
-Initial USDA Forms
-Volunteers reaching 20 hours in a year need Background Check to continue
