Reset 180, Inc is an established organization that is expanding and growing our Board of Directors.

Reset 180, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to support vulnerable populations in the battle against homelessness. We believe all individuals are capable of resetting their lives by making 180 degrees of change. Our vision is to eradicate homelessness by empowering individuals to gain self-sufficiency. Assistance will be provided to individuals seeking help with personal/financial growth and development and job readiness through life skills training and other community resources.

Committing to this volunteer position will include the following:

  • Leading the Board and Executive Committee to carry out its governance functions
  • Partnering with the Founders to help ensure the Board’s directives, policies, and resolutions are carried out
  • Assessing the performance of the Board and its committees
  • Partnering with the Founders to lead the development and refinement of impact metrics
  • Assuring the ongoing development of Board members
  • Serving as an ambassador of the organization and advocating its mission to internal and external stakeholders

Areas of Expertise / Desired Professionals

Individuals interested in sitting on the Board of Directors or Advisory Committee with backgrounds/titles in the following areas are encouraged to apply:

  • School Teachers, TA, and Childcare Workers
  • Healthcare, Physicians, Nurses, Mental Health Providers, Recovery Counselors
  • Psychologists, LCSW, Family Therapists, and MFT’s
  • Technological Development, Information Technology, Web/Database Developer
  • Law Enforcement, Parole, or Probation Officers
  • State, Government, Federal, or County Workers (mental health divisions, preferred)

Candidates must be over the age of 18. Special consideration is given to candidates who fill specific needs of the Board (i.e., business, education, finance, development, etc). Candidates are expected to advance the organizations mission, actively participate in fundraising, oversee the executive director, be prepared for all board meetings, recruit exceptional new members, and fulfil legal and fiduciary responsibilities; candidates are encouraged to provide at least a small measure of financial support. Other desirable qualities include an ability to work with others, a desire for a better community, and a willingness to serve in the community!

Description

Reset 180, Inc. is a Georgia nonprofit started in 2018 to empower women and families through education and financial literacy. The signature programs of Reset 180, Inc. include community financial literacy education, adopt a family and back to school supply drive.
