Compassionate individuals are needed to provide patient companionship, social interaction, hand holding, crafts, music, or just to sit and chat with patients in nursing homes, assisted living communities, personal care homes, or private residences.
Volunteering is a ministry of presence. All you need to be a great volunteer is a caring heart and a friendly smile.

Hospice care is covered by Medicare, Medicaid and most private insurance. However, care is provided regardless of ability to pay.
