We are looking for a vet-to-vet volunteer to visit a hospice patient who was a Vietnam POW. This is a wonderful opportunity to :
- Be a part of a veteran's final journey
- Create a bond based on shared military culture and experience
- Listen and offer support
- Be a part of something greater than yourself
- Foster an environment of life review and healing

Arizona Care hospice is committed to providing quality care for patients faced with a life-limiting illness. The goal is to improve the quality of a person's life through pain and symptom control,emotional and spiritual support. We believe that the patient and family are an integral decision making member of the hospice team in planning and receiving care. Hospice offers an alternative to repeat hospitalizations. Hospice affirms life. It neither hastens death nor postpones death, but assists the patient and family in living with a life limiting illness. Hospice regards dying as a normal process at life's end in which we can provide dignity and comfort for the patient and loved ones.
