VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY IN SAN DIEGO AREA
Veteran Sisters is pleased to announce that the North County Veteran Stand Down is rescheduled. The new dates are Thurs. Sept 16- Sun Sept 19, 2021. We hope that you are still interested in volunteering with us.
At our booth, we will assist Veterans with their (Military Sexual Trauma) MST statements and claims. No experience is necessary, but a laptop and empathy are mandatory. Only you will use your laptop and nothing will be saved to your computer.
Volunteer Opportunities include working directly with Veterans to write their MST statements and start their VA claim if needed, "Battle Buddies"- to escort Veterans to their next stop and general assistance in the tent.

Description
Veteran Sisters is a peer to peer support and advocacy organization that focuses on the unique challenges facing Female Veterans living life after military service. Our primary focus is to help Female service members who suffer with Post Tramatic Stress (PTS), Military Sexual Trauma (MST), Drepression and Anxiety. We are their "Battle Buddy", their companion, and their advocate. We walk the journey with them! We want them to know that we know they served and they are not alone!
