Enjoy a pocket of nature in the city while helping the little hill by the East Bay shoreline by pulling invasive plants, allowing room for the native plants to come back. Learn about the diversity of plants and animals on this small, ancient hill.
Flexible scheduling. Wear masks. Bring your own gloves and tools, if you have them, but we have extras.

Mission Statement
Tending the Ancient Shoreline Hill (TASH) helps Albany Hill, the little hill on the East Bay shoreline, through habitat restoration and environmental education work.
Description
We remove invasive plants, clean up trash, and restore and augment native plant populations with stock grown from Albany Hill seeds and cuttings. We also hold nature walks and other activities on the hill to help people appreciate the plants and animals as well as history of the little hill.
