Are you interested or engaged in Forestry?
The NJ Forest Service needs computer data entry persons for extra project work. The task helps with our Farmland Assessment Program by inserting landowners application information into our electronic records.
The work is routine but has the opportunity of learning about forest land management while working with our small staff of tree lovers! Great experience for a forestry and conservation student.
The opportunity requires you come to our Brendan T Byrne Forestry office in New Lisbon any day, Monday - Friday and any time between 8:00am and 4:00pm. Ideally, we hope you can work at least 10 hours weekly. The State of NJ requires masks while working indoors and we aim to make everyone feel welcome and safe.

Mission Statement
The Forest Resource Education Center (FREC) offers educational hikes and programs to community groups and schools to promote appreciation for New Jersey forests.
Description
FREC is the public outreach division for the New Jersey Forest Service. Our facility includes an exhibition hall and classroom located within 865-forested acres located in central New Jersey.
Annually we host about 1500 students on 1.5-hour educational hikes along our variety of forested trails. Volunteers, with environmental backgrounds, are needed as Hike Leaders for student groups as well as adult community groups.

- Completely flexible and hours can be applied for volunteer service. However, a staff person must be present so that the work hours and Monday-Friday 8:am-4:00pm
- Practical computer experience and accuracy is important but this work does not use Excel or any accounting program.
