"When an elder dies, a library burns to the ground." - Chinua Achebe

Interim Hospice is launching a Legacy Project team! This team is a special group of volunteers who are trained to work with patients and their families to create a Legacy Project to preserve the wisdom, knowledge, and beautiful life they lived. These projects are as unique as the people who create them - they could be collages, videoed memoirs, books of poetry, handicrafts - anything that captures the personality of the patient! The only limit is your creativity! Whatever medium, these legacy projects are incredible keepsakes for families after their loved ones die. We are looking for special people with a range of talents from writing to videography to sewing to visual art - any talent you bring is perfect for this project! You will be paired with a patient and their family and collaborate to create something unique that will be treasured for generations to come. Contact Mallory at meverhart@interimhealthcare.com for more information!
