ORGANIZATION: HOUSE OF HOPE INC

  • 1 person is interested

There is a Transitional Living Facility in Topeka KS that house men who are at risk for homelessness. It is a sober living home. They move in and we help them achieve goals, find employment, and contact resources. We are looking a few people in the community that would be interested in mentoring these men. It would involve positive interactions with them weekly. Possibly rides to needed appointments if they don't have transportation. Encouragement to attend church or bible studies, NA, AA, and meeting to stay clean and sober. Building a relationship with them and helping them achieve goals that they have set for themselves.
Right now we currently have a Men's house open, so we are looking for men mentors, but we are opening a women's house within a few months.
