Hospice Volunteers enhance the quality of life for the patient and family and help reduce the burden of caregiving. Volunteers are generally available to provide different types of support to patients and their loved ones including preparation of light meals, staying with a patient to give family members a break, lending emotional support and companionship to patients and family members, and helping out with light housekeeping.

The mission of Kindred At Home - Hospice Division is to honor life and offer compassion to individuals and their families when facing a life-limiting illness. Hospice provides support and care for persons in the last phases of an incurable disease so that they may live as fully and as comfortable as possible. Hospice recognizes that the dying process is a part of the normal process of living and focuses on enhancing the quality of remaining life.

Direct Care Volunteers, who provide support to our patients and families directly. These Volunteers donate their time and talent to provide emotional support and respite to hospice patients and their families.
