Responsibilities
The function of the grant writer is to gather documentation and fulfill the necessary requirements of various funding bodies to formally seek funding on behalf of ANC. The volunteer must be an astute writer who knows how to appeal to the funding organization's board. The grant writer responsibility needs essential knowledge of formal, legal and persuasive writing skills and the grant application process. Identify and understand the financial and budget matters of the company. Possess broad knowledge of organizational structure, functions and needs.
The Grant Writer is a virtual volunteer position that works directly with the Fundraising Manager. We are looking for volunteers who can help us to grow by bestowing their skills and time towards the mission of ANC.
Competencies
- The Ideal candidate must have access to Grant Database and experience in Grant Writing for non-profit organizations with excellent written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to write successful grant proposals
- Detail-oriented, organized, clear, expressive, precise as well as compelling writing skills
- Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently with the help of Google Drive, Trello and Slack in a fast-paced environment
- Use Independent judgement and produce a quality work product within tight time constraints.
- Excellent knowledge of Google Applications (Google Drive)
