VOLUNTEERS NEEDED in Columbia, Dutchess, Greene, Orange, Sullivan and Ulster counties within the Hudson Valley.
Due to COVID we were made keenly aware of the unmet needs of our skilled nursing/rehabilitation facility residents and residents in adult care facilities, such as assisted living and adult homes. Another result of COVID was the loss of many former volunteers who have retired or have chosen not to return to the Ombudsman program.
YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE...A REAL DIFFERENCE IN THE DAY TO DAY LIVES OF OUR MOST VULNERABLE.
Give back to the community and become a NYS Certified Ombudsman, who will educate, empower and advocate for residents in long term care facilities.
2 HOURS WEEKLY time commitment, the desire to be effective in change and protecting the rights of residents and a caring mindset is all that is necessary. Training s provided by the Office of the State Long Term Care program.
