Do you love to sew? Do you want to use your sewing talent and ability to help grieving families? Then this opportunity is for you!!!
VITAS Healthcare offers a memory bear to be made out of a loved ones clothing item once they pass away on our hospice. Our sewing volunteers construct this bear using a pattern that is provided. We also supply the interfacing to line each bear with, stuffing, and the eyes/nose to put on the bear.
This opportunity is unique as it is done in your own home, and on your own time! If you are able to make one bear per week or one bear per month, any amount of help is appreciated and valued!

- Must be at least 13
- One bear per month is preferred, but we are also looking for people to make as many as they're able! This can be up to 8-10 hours (per bear) depending on your skill level.
- Must have your own sewing machine.
