Mission Statement

Bronx Lacrosse improves the educational and life opportunities for underserved students in the South Bronx through the sport of lacrosse.

Description

Bronx Lacrosse is more than a sports program: Bronx Lacrosse is a full-day, year-round academic- & sports-based youth development program that empowers youth on the field and in the classroom. We use lacrosse as a vehicle to build community, improve academic engagement and performance, and develop leadership and social-emotional skills. Program participants are supported both on and off the field through mentorship, team building exercises, additional academic support and tutoring, and behavioral monitoring and intervention.

We are seeking volunteer tutors to help us fulfill our mission to improve the educational opportunities for students in the South Bronx.
