Opportunity: Help our students acquire jobs, get into vocational programs, and attend college! Use your job skills to mentor the next generation in preparing for college and career by searching for best-fit jobs and schools, writing resumes, cover letters, and applications, and navigating the interview process. The YBPCS Transitions department will work closely with Career Coaches, assisting with scheduling times with students, planning activities, and evaluating impact. All career coaches must have a high school degree or GED and at least 1-2 years of professional experience.
This position is unpaid. We have in-person and virtual opportunities please indicate your preference.
Time Commitment: Schedules vary by volunteer availability. Ideally looking for individuals who are available Tuesdays between 9 am - 3 pm and Friday 10 am - 3 pm
Bilingual Spanish-speaking volunteers are strongly encouraged to apply.
If you are interested in in-person volunteering, we do require that you provide documentation of COVID vaccines or submit to a COVID test on a weekly or bi-weekly basis with a negative result.
