Glenside Fire Company is a 100% volunteer organization consisting of around 45 active firefighters. We have served the Glenside, Wyncote, Laverock, Arcadia University, and surrounding communities for over 120 years. We are looking for new volunteers to join our rapidly growing volunteer firefighting force! No experience is necessary and volunteers can start at age 16. You’ll get to meet new people, make new friends, help the community, all while having fun. Volunteer firefighting looks great on college applications and resumes and the feeling that comes with helping others is immeasurable. We’re especially looking for new members who may have periods of daytime availability including remote workers, students, shift workers, stay-at-home parents, and recently retired people. Glenside Fire Company is a 100% volunteer organization consisting of around 45 active firefighters. We have served the Glenside, Wyncote, Laverock, and surrounding communities for over 120 years. We respond to house fires, vehicle fires, vehicle accidents, brush fires, residential rescues, water rescues, and just about any other type of emergency. When our neighbors need us, we’re there to help them in their greatest time of need. This is why we need you to help us continue our mission. Volunteer firefighting looks great on college applications and resumes and the feeling that comes with helping others is immeasurable. When you join Glenside Fire Company, you’re not just joining an organization, but rather, it’s more like having a second family.
