Juvenile Conference Committee-Currently Seeking Youth Volunteers Only
The Superior Court of NJ, Middlesex County, is currently seeking youth volunteers between the ages of 13 and 17 to serve as members of the Juvenile Conference Committee (JCC). The JCCs meet monthly throughout Middlesex County, working to help guide juvenile offenders by making recommendations to the Judge as to how juvenile delinquency complaints should be handled within the community. The goals of the JCC are to involve community members in the court process and to prevent young offenders from future delinquency.

Child Placement Review Board
The Superior Court of NJ, Middlesex County, is seeking Middlesex County residents to serve as members of the Child Placement Review Board. There are two 45 day review boards located at 120 New Street in New Brunswick, at the Middlesex Family Court House. Volunteers monitor the cases of all children who are placed outside their home by the Division of Child Protection & Permanency (DCP&P), review case files, discuss cases with the team, and make recommendations. DCP&P workers attend the meetings to clarify any questions pertaining to the cases.

The Volunteers in Probation Program is staffed with volunteers from the community who mentor adults on probation. Each volunteer will be assigned to supervise an adult on probation. You will meet once a week with the probationer to make sure they are fulfilling the requirements of their probation & to maintain regular contact with the supervising probation officer.

Volunteers address issues in the court order that include employment,education and counseling. Only probationers with minor or non-violent offenses are allowed to participate in the program .
