The Social Call Volunteer provides invaluable social connections for St. Vincent Meals On Wheels clients who lack support and may be at an elevated risk of loneliness and social isolation. The ideal volunteer will have strong listening and effective communication skills. Volunteers must be age 18+ and pass a background check. Bilingual in Spanish, Korean, or Chinese is a plus. You can make a difference in the lives of 1900+ homebound seniors and vulnerable residents across Los Angeles especially during the pandemic when the need for social connection has heightened.
