This Fall, the Parkinson's Foundation will host its 11th annual Moving Day Chicago, A Walk for Parkinson’s event. Scheduled for Sunday, October 16th at Soldier Field - South Lot, Moving Day Chicago has as a goal of attracting an audience of 1,000+ people, and raising $450,000 to fight Parkinson’s disease! This celebration of movement will feature a family-friendly walk course and exercise classes all proven to help manage Parkinson’s symptoms.

The Parkinson's Foundation is currently recruiting volunteers to help with set-up, registration, refreshments, course marshalling and cheering, clean-up etc. Volunteers will work 3, 4 or 6 hour shifts between the hours of 7:00am and 1:00pm and times will vary depending on availability and area assigned. Coffee/ light breakfast snacks will be provided along with a T-shirt for each volunteer. Join us for a fun morning on the Lakefront and help make a difference in lives of people living with Parkinson’s!

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be at least 16
  • Volunteers will work 3, 4 or 6 hour shifts between the hours of 7:00am and 1:00pm and times will vary depending on availability and area assigned.
  • Must be able and willing to stand/ move in any October 16th Chicago weather! Those under 18 should be accompanied by at least one adult per group.
